The Governors of St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a specialist SEND teacher, to join our well-established SEND resource provision within our mainstream school. We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEND Specialist Teacher. This position is offered at 0.6 to full time, with flexibility to suit the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, wellresourced environment with small class sizes and a high ratio of adults to pupils, enabling truly individualised teaching and learning.
About the Role
You will lead teaching and learning within our SEND resource provision, supporting pupils with a diverse range of needs. Working alongside a highly experienced team of support staff, therapists, and wider school colleagues, you’ll deliver tailored learning experiences that enable every child to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. You will also be supported by a dedicated, knowledgeable and committed SEND team of teachers and leaders who will work collaboratively with you to ensure the best provision for pupils. SEND Teacher

About You
We are looking for someone who:

Is a qualified teacher (QTS essential)

Has proven experience working with children with SEND

Understands a range of needs such as ASD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, and SEMH

Is creative, flexible, and child-centred in their approach

Values teamwork, reflection, and professional growth
